This is an original watercolour pencil painting that beautifully captures a cluster of delicate snowdrops in bloom, the delicate painting aptly shows the effect of beauty and fragility in these early winter blooms.  Snowdrops have long being associated with hope and renewal in Victorian floriography, this botanical study will be a great reminder of that.
 
Using a delicate palate of greens, white & greys the depiction shows the subtle variation of leaves and white petals, creating a sense of depth and luminosity.  The flowers are wonderfully contrasted against the black watercolour paper and the framing has been professionally executed in a deep black frame with a gold edging.  There is a double mount in both black and off white to further accentuate this beautful study.
