Terms and conditions
All the terms and conditions here are for the purpost of protecting you and me. As an artisan business, I hope it reflects in the time and quality I spend on my art work, I offer a very personal service and I am dedicated to creating the most beautiful art on glass, unique and special pieces.
If you are commissioning me to paint something personal and unique, this takes time, changes can be made with ongoing consultation. Every effort is given to good communication with a client and this is a consultative process, regular contact is required to secure the design. If additional items are added, this may incur a further charge with of course mutual agreement.
Once a design has been completed, it will be photographed from every angle and sent to you; we can even do this live on messenger so you are completely happy with it.
My payment terms are as follows: 50% non-refundable deposit on agreement and remainder to be paid on completion before postage.
I can refuse a commission and in this case a full refund of deposit will be given.
If I receive a cancellation once the commission has started the deposit cannot be refunded unless I terminate the agreement in this case a 25% refund of deposit will be given. The remainder is there to cover my time and expenses. In essence, I ask my clients to respect my artisan status and that I have to earn a living too.
Please commission your work early, allow me plenty of time, I do not like to rush and compromise on quality, I would suggest you book in early to ensure you give yourself the piece of mind and me the luxury of being able to take the time to make these unique and bespoke items as wonderful as they deserve to be.
Cancellations are to be done within 7 days of the initial agreement unless there are extenuating circumstances which we can discuss. The deposit secures your time and slot with me.
Larger items are posted via the Post Office courier service which has served me well, all postage amounts are to be paid once the price is ascertained.
Commission of jewellery
The same process applies as above.
Sale of Goods & Returns
Every effort is made to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition, they are packaged in such a way as to avoid damages, I do use bubble wrap and recycled foam to protect them, layers and layers of it! This is not attractive but necessary. In the event they are received in damaged conditon I would require photographic proof of this before a full refund can be made. Also be aware that my stock is limited and any damages may take time to be replaced, every effort will be made to replace it in time for gifting but cannot be guaranteed.
Delivery will be made using the Post Office, 2ndclass signed for or by the Post Office Courier for larger items and these will be dealt with on an individual basis. If you require a more urgent postage, please ring me so we can sort this out together.
My refund policy is simple really, return the item/items in the condition and the packaging you have received them in and I will happily refund the amount for the glass less postage (If received in perfect condition), if you have packaged them carelessly and the items are damaged on arrival back to me you will not receive the refund, so please be careful. I ask you to respect this is a ‘one man band’ business and I cannot lose out financially if you feel like changing your mind. I also ask you do this within 5 working days of purchase. After this I will not offer a refund.
All my work is photographed in detail so you can see the quality of the art, a gin glass can take several days and hours to complete, detail and quality is what I am known for, so there really should be no reason to return items.
My designs are my own and as a result this is protected by ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ my work must not be sold onto someone else or copied in any way.
My techniques are my own and like all artists we reserve the right to not disclose this information.
All my work is hand painted by me, I do not employ other artists to work on my designs, please be aware if you order the same design on two items there will be differences you would expect with a hand painted process.
Every effort in my business life is to provide outstanding customer care, this is a genuine artisan business, clients are very much valued, respected and treated as such. If in the unlikely event you are not completely satisfied please discuss this with me and contact me personally. I would be mortified to think we cannot find a solution to a situation. My commitment is to treat people as I would like to be treated.
PayPal & bank transfer are my preferred methods, if you are purchasing on line by bank transfer, goods cannot be posted until funds are clear into the account.
Colour on photographs
Often my photographs do not fully do justice to the colour of my artwork, please be aware photography is not my area of expertise, so be prepared for things looking even more beautiful than the photograph!
Fabric & Design
All work and printing is handled in the UK and is printed onto fire safe fabrics.
I only advocate hand washing of the glass & crystal. This will preserve the quality of the design and paint. My advice handle with care!
